Man With fish, after Odd Nerdrum
18" x 24" Oil on Canvas This is a study in oil including a full nude figure for my painting assignment this week. I am completly stuck. I am linking the original image to the bottom of this explanation and if some of you oil painters can give me a few hints I would appreciate any and all critique. Please. Ha, I am desperate. |

Head is a bit small, and needs to be finished. It kinda clashes atm with the rest of the work. The toes on the foot bother me a bit I think they need to be shortened or something not sure exactly what. I think you should bring more of the colour and texture of surrounding to the figure itself. A bit more of those awesome darks and yellows and red into the leg of the figure. I really like the abstractions in the background that you achieve, the textures are wonderfull as well.
